Asia & Far East

Asia and the Far East is a congregation of palm fringed shores, dramatic panoramas, unspoiled islands and vibrant cultures. The colourful tropics hold some of the world's strangest and most fantastic wildlife, from the Macau Monkeys that rally the streets to rare mountain leopards and gentle regal elephants.

Similarly magnificent creatures can also be found in the warm, lush seas: the coral belt means the shallow waters of coral reefs have the highest levels of biodiversity in the world and attract an intriguing spectacle of sharks, dolphins and technicolour marine life. This makes South East Asia's waters a paradise for avid snorkelers and divers.

This vivacious ecosystem also spawns some of the most sonorous and resonant spices in the world, lending the local cuisine mouth watering dynamically flavours. The fusions of Asian influences combine to serenade the palette.

Numerous daily internal flights mean that travelling around the region is cheap and comfortable. Venture anywhere from the flurrying metropolis of Bangkok in Thailand to explore globally revered sites such as Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Witness the Great Wall of China, sail into Vietnam’s flawless Halong Bay or behold the futuristic cityscape of Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur from the dizzying heights of the Petronas Towers. Despite its growing popularity of the last 30 years there are still undiscovered corners that will satisfy the most adventurous with mystical Burma now at the top of many intrepid travellers list. With such an accumulated array of cultures and lifestyles you are sure to find plenty to satisfy whilst leaving you thirsty for more.
