Glamping in the Galapagos with Celebrity Cruises

Friday 23 November 2018

The first ship ever designed exclusively for the Galapagos Islands, Celebrity Flora, has announced another industry first, going even further to break down the walls between the guests and their destination. Galapagos Glamping, a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise to sunset experience on the top deck of the luxury yacht, will allow guests to dine, drink and sleep under one of the most spectacular night skies in the world.

“Celebrity Flora was specifically designed to bring our guests closer to the Galapagos Islands than ever before,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises. “And now our new Galapagos Glamping experience gives guests an incredible opportunity to experience the destination the ship was built for, on a whole new level, under the millions of stars above.”

Four guests per night will be able to book the experience and participate in this one-night-only adventure. A reservation includes private access to two lavish cabanas; one transforms into the setting of your exclusive dining experience, while the other is fitted with a luxurious double bed to create a comfortable sleeping area.

Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner as part of the Galapagos Glamping experience, with a menu crafted exclusively by Celebrity’s Michelin Starred Chef. Fare will include campfire-inspired culinary delights – from cocktails and carefully selected wines to s’mores – served under the stars. Campers will also welcome the sunrise with a full bedside breakfast.

The Galapagos archipelago resides on the equator providing guests with a rare opportunity to view both Northern and Southern Hemisphere constellations at once. To help guests fully appreciate the breathtaking views this experience offers, a naturalist will be on hand to point out the stars and constellations visible directly from the cabana seats.

Celebrity Flora will make her debut sailing on 26th May 2019. Bookings are now open and the exclusive Galapagos Glamping experience will be available upon request, for a fee, on every Celebrity Flora sailing. Subject to availability.
