Large Ship

The variety of large cruise ships is almost endless, however the latest addition to P&O Cruises fleet Britannia, voted 'Best New Ocean Ship 2015' is definitely something to shout about.

Named by Her Majesty the Queen on 10 March 2015, the impressive ship carries 547 more passengers the the lines previous biggest ship Azura. Carrying 3,647 passengers and weighing in at 141,00 tonnes, Britannia is the biggest ship ever built specifically for the UK market. Britannia takes the most popular features of the rest of the fleet - such as The Glass House, Atul Kochhar's Sindhu restaurant and the Crows Nest Bar - and adds some brand new features including a Cookery Club and a TV studio. It's all about understated luxury on this perfectly British floating resort.

As a rule of thumb expect large ship cruises to deliver a floating resort experience, copious amount of amenities, gastronomic experiences with shopping malls, casinos and spa experiences to enjoy.

Look out for a plethora of new builds due 2016-2018 from Holland America Line, NCL, Viking, Seabourn, Carnival and Celebrity.
