Bali is often called 'the Island of the Gods' and it is aptly named indeed… Fringed with perfect beaches and colourful coral reefs, Bali is a land of stunning natural beauty and friendly people who are proud of their ancient culture and traditions.
Bali’s Southern shores are the most popular part of the island, for good reason: here lie the soft sands, colourful ‘jukung’ fishing boats, great surfing spots and excellent beach resorts that Bali is famous for. Bali’s beaches are truly glorious, but there is more to this enchanting country than its golden sands. Inland, amidst lush rice terraces and dramatic valleys that make up Bali’s most iconic landscapes, nestled amid rainforest which is littered with Hindu temples and shrines, beautiful Ubud is renowned for its traditional art and ancient holy sites.
Nusa Dua - located on the east coast of the Bukit peninsula, this resort's white-sand beaches and clear waters are perfect for water sports. Tanah Lot - this temple sits on a rock in the sea off Bali's west coast. 'Rumah Makan' - small restaurants that serve traditional Balinese cuisine.
Bali's weather is generally fairly mild and pleasant all year round. The wet season falls from November to April and is a little hotter and definitely more humid, with brief but heavy torrential rainfall during the day. The dry season falls from May to October.
