Bali

Encompassing some of Asia's most revered traditions as well as jungly volcanic mountains, fecund rice paddies and pristine oceans, Bali is a rapturous sanctuary for anyone looking to indulge in its vivacious lifestyle. The soothing fragrance of warm sea wind hovers on Bali's blissful coast, which holds troves of marine life in its waters; consequently attracting divers from around the globe. Most hotels are blessed with ocean views and access to the beach, enabling guests to unwind in the topical atmosphere.

Bali is an island that takes a long time to wake up and even longer to go to sleep. The relaxed vibes emitted from the laidback lifestyle has allowed a fantastical nightlife to thrive, provoking a flurry of resonant restaurants and clubs to open in recent years, especially towards the south of the island. Perhaps most dazzling is the Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique. Alternatively, various beach clubs offer good vibe parties overlooking the ocean.

It is worth trekking to the heart of the island to behold the ancient temple of Ulun Danu Bratan. Shrouded in mystique as it levitates on the breathlessly still Lake Bratan, the temple's intricate detail is as peculiar as the orange soaked lagoon at sunset. Boats are available for hire so visitors can become truly immersed in this botanical bounty. Furthermore, to the East the Pura Besakih Temple is steeped in the rituals of Balinese culture and Hindu Religion; the practices occur daily and there are at least 70 festivals held in the shrines each year. Bali is a fairly small island in Indonesia and is consequently 7 hours ahead.

We Liked:
Nusa Dua - Located on the east coast of the Bukit peninsula, this resort's white-sand beaches and clear waters are perfect for watersports. - Tanah Lot -This temple sits on a rock in the sea off Bali's west coast. - Eating / Drinking: 'Rumah Makan' are small restaurants that serve traditional Balinese cuisine. Tourist areas feature both local specialties and a big selection of Western dishes.
Weather:
Bali's weather is generally fairly mild and pleasant year round however the major seasonal difference falls between the wet and dry seasons. The wet season falls from November to April and is a little hotter and definitely more humid, with brief but heavy torrential rainfall during the day. The dry season falls from May to October.

Yes, the staterooms are beautifully finished, the entertainment is spectacular and there is food to die for, but it was the brilliant design of Celebrity Edge’s public spaces that really took my breath away.
